The Zimswitch Board has appointed Mr Zabron Chilakalaka as the Chief Executive Of ficer with effect from 1 January 2023.
Zabron is a business executive who has demonstrated his astute leadership through active participation in strategic management and business transformation in the various positions held in the company over the past 10 years. His sterling career saw him rise through various positions to include Chief Finance Officer and Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Zimswitch. He brings in a wealth of knowledge and experience through his extensive career in the payments industry. He is holder of a Bachelor of Accountancy Degree from the University of Zimbabwe and a Master in Business Administration from the National University of Science and Technology. The appointment is coming at an opportune time when the company is making significant strides in scaling digital payments innovation in the country through development and investments in modern payment solutions.
He takes over from Mr Cyril Nyatsanza who retired on 31 December 2022, after diligently serving the company for more than 10 years leaving a resounding mark through his achievements and notable milestones over his tenure. His contribution towards the heritage brand, Zimswitch, is applauded.
